Things to know...

All taxi drivers are insane so just smile and shrug when they start talking to you in Hebrew and say a quick prayer for your life before they start driving
There is more than one train station in Tel Aviv-trust me...I visited them all in one day
Israeli public buses are truly an experience and everyone should take one at least once
When they say everyone in Israel knows a little English the key word is *little*
Sitting at an outside table for breakfast may seem like a good idea but watching older men jiggle as they walk by in speedos tends to make you lose your appetite
When using an ATM the amount of money you choose comes out in shekels and 90 shekels may seem like a lot till you realize its only $26
Kibbutz life is amazing-everyone has a dog you can play with!
Kibbutz food is rather bland-ketchup becomes your new best friend
There are both scorpions and two types of poisonous snakes in Israel-and I will be weeding tall grass for the next couple of days...

Oh and if anyone wants to check out the blog for the dig:

Professional Gaffer

I'm starting to get a little nervous about going to Israel especially with everyone warning me about crowds and public transportation...but still really excited. It should be a lot of hard work yet I think I'll have a lot of fun too and hopefully I'll have enough time to travel to Jerusalem at least once.

To keep my mind off of the trip I'm working a lot and watching a lot of cooking shows. I have a three course meal planned for next Tuesday...that I've been told sounds "mouth-watering good" haha....I also stayed later at work today to learn how to set up microphones which was really interesting and I hope to be able to help with that again.

Ok time for dinner and a movie with some of the girls!
